What are the admission requirements?
Admission to Fatima is based on guidance reports, academic performance, entrance exam and other standardized test scores, and an interview.
Do you have transportation from certain towns?
Free school bus transportation is provided by: Barrington, Bristol, Central
Falls, Cranston, East Providence, Johnston, Lincoln, North Providence, Pawtucket, Providence, Smithfield, and Warren, Rhode Island.
The School Pool is a free service providing parents a secure and reliable network of families interested in sharing the responsibilities of the school day commute.

What is the cost of tuition for the 2012-2013 year?
Annual Tuition Grade 6, 7 & 8 $4500.00

Is financial aid available?
Yes, there is limited financial aid available. In order to be considered for financial aid, a FACTS FINANCIAL AID FORM must be filled out online.
Different payment plans are available.
The Sister Jessie Sousa Scholarship is awarded to the top 8th grade Entrance Exam Scorer.
The student must take the test at Fatima in December. The scholarship is $1,000 per year. The student must maintain an 85.0 cumulative average.
Do you offer payment plans?
You may pay the entire tuition when due and receive a $100 deduction.

Tuition payments may be made using one of the following plans:
Monthly, bi-annually, one payment in full for the year, and also an arrangement to lock in tuition payment for all four years paid in its entirety based on a current rate of tuition.
What Grades do you have at FATIMA?
We have grades 6, 7 & 8 and grades 9,10,11, and 12
What is the average class size at FATIMA?
The average classroom size is 15 with some classes having as few as 6 students.
Do you offer Advanced Placement classes?
We offer Honors classes with the option of taking the Advanced Placement Test for some classes. The senior Creative Writing class is now offered for college credit.
Do you accept transfers?
Yes. Transfers are evaluated for admissions on an individual level. Acceptance is also based on available seating.
What sports do you offer?
We offer a varsity and junior varsity sports: Soccer, Basketball, Softball, Baseball, Volleyball, Track & Field.
What extra-curricular activities are offered at FATIMA?
Many extra curricular activities including Drama, S.A.D.D., Peer tutoring, Yearbook, etc. are offered for Fatima students.
What percentage of FATIMA students go on to college?
Over 98 per cent of our last three graduating classes have pursued higher education at the institution of their first choice. Some of the colleges/universities our students have attended include Brown, West Point, Salve Regina, URI, Providence College, Loyola University as well as additional prestigious colleges.
Do you have to be Catholic to attend?
Students of all faiths may attend Fatima.
What is the application deadline?
The application process begins in September for the following year. Students can continue to apply for admission as long as there are seats available.
Do you offer open enrollment?
We offer open enrollment provided seats are available.
Where should I take the entrace exam?
Take the entrance exam at your first choice school.
The same exam is used at all Rhode Island Catholic High Schools.
What are the school day hours?
The school day is 7:50 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Are uniforms required?
Yes. They may be purchased from Donnelly’s in Providence. There are occasions when students may have a dress down day.
Why should I take the entrance exam at my first choice school?
It is preferred that the student takes the test at their first choice school. This assures that the school will receive all necessary information. Some schools offer academic scholarships to their first choice candidates.
If I choose to have my entrance exam results sent to more than one school, have I automatically applied to each of those schools?
No. Each school will require a separate application. You must contact the Admissions Office at any school where you wish to apply in order to be considered for admission.
How much is the application fee?
The application fee is $25 at each school where you wish to apply.
When will I get a response from my application?
You will hear from schools where you have completed the application process by the first week in February.
Spring and Summer applicants will be notified of their acceptance status as soon as all the paperwork is completed.
