Giving
"Your gift makes an impact in the lives of our students every day.
Gifts from you, our alumni, parents and friends, are the foundation of our continued success. Your gift to Fatima High School provides an opportunity for students to EXPECT SUCCESS. Gifts bridge the gap between what the school receives in tuition and what it actually costs to educate each student. Please contact the Advancement office to see how you can help Fatima Students EXPECT SUCCESS."

On April 29, Regina Rose (Phillips) Meigel (Class of '69) and husband Glenn had a lovely visit at Our Lady of Fatima High School with Sister Isabel. Even though we email each other several times a year, it is always nice to talk face to face and to get caught up with our lives' activities. Also, I got to see Mary Morra also class of '69, who teaches there. My time and experience at Fatima were enjoyable and very rewarding. Since we were the first graduating class, it was like a real family.
Since, I graduated and been married for 37 years we have lived in Alaska, Virginia 2 times (Fairfax while Glenn worked at the Pentagon and Norfolk), Germany, Kansas and Texas (3 times). After my husband retired from the U.S. Army in 1992 as a Lieutenant Colonel, we reside in El Paso, Texas and love the warm weather and having the military facilities of Fort Bliss nearby.
I attended Travel College and worked as a Travel Agent after Glenn retired. We were visiting families and friends in MA, NY and VA during our recent trip east. We both are involved with lots of volunteer work to help the community out. I am an Eucharist Minister at Chapel #2 on Ft. Bliss, member of Military Council of Catholic Women (we make rosary beads for the soldiers and cancer caps for patients and preemies, plus prayer shawls), member of the Retired Officers' Wives' Club and Westside Welcome Club along with being Membership Chairperson for Castner Heights Neighborhood Association. Glenn is involved with the Neighborhood Watch and helps the Police Department when needed. Also, while the International Foreign Officers attended school at Fort Bliss from all over the world, we sponsored them which was a great experience.

Jordan Schwartz (Class of 2010) has recently been hired by The LEGO Group as a product designer. After applying during his summer break, the company showed interest in him and he was flown in to Billund, Denmark at the end of August. Shortly after returning home, he was contacted by The LEGO Group and was offered a one year internship as a starting point. Jordan will be moving to Denmark in early January 2011 to begin his design work on the Creator/Direct product lines. This position is something he describes as a “dream job” and he is incredibly grateful to be creating products for Europe’s largest toy manufacturer; it is an honor that has validated his work over the years, particularly because LEGO sets have been unanimously deemed the “toy of the century” by toy enthusiasts and toy historians alike. Furthermore, Jordan will continue his position as a writer for BrickJournal, the LEGO community’s premier source for LEGO related news, which can be purchased online, in LEGO retail stores, and in major bookstores worldwide. You can learn more about Jordan’s works at his personal website, Brickstud.com. ©
